Welcome to our farm!

We are located in Allegany County, New York , in the northernmost foothills of Appalachia. We grow healthy, delicious vegetables for ourselves and our clients in ways that not only preserve, but actually restore soil fertility, biodiversity, and environmental health.

Our Principles:

We use no synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers. Instead, we use natural means to enhance soil fertility, plant health, and pest control. We do not participate in the government-controlled "Certified Organic"- our practices exceed it. We instead are "Certified Naturally Grown", and signatories to the Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York's "Farmer's Pledge".

We are a family farm, and do all our own labor. We do not exploit illegal immigrant workers.

We have not, and will not, accept government subsidies. Any payment we receive is through voluntary exchange with satisfied customers.

Benefits to our clients:

Freshness: Most produce purchased in a store has traveled an average of 1500 miles to the store shelf, and is at least a week old. By then, it has lost 40% of its nutrition. Ours is grown locally, and is usually harvested hours, not days or weeks, before delivery to you.

All our cultivars are selected for flavor and nutrition, not for industrial uniformity and the ability to withstand rough mechanical harvesting and transport.
